Navori Labs Deploys Digital Signage and Analytics Solution for Walmart de Mexico y Centroamerica

LAUSANNE, SWITZERLAND, November 2, 2023 -Navori Labs has deployed a unified digital signage software and AI-based camera analytics solution for Walmart Connect, the omnichannel retail media business of Walmart de Mexico y Centroamerica. The solution is now live across all 173 Walmart Supercenters in Mexico and 180 of 200 in-country Sam’s Club locations, with the remaining 20 stores to follow.

The integrated Navori Labs Navori digital signage and Aquaji analytics solution allows Walmart de Mexico y Centroamerica to gather customer engagement metrics and offer valuable analytics, including shopper demographics, to DOOH advertising partners that advertise their brands across their in-store digital media networks. Navori Labs is the only digital signage supplier to also offer an in-house-developed marketing analytics solution, ensuring seamless interoperability with QL’s digital signage content management and playout workflow.

Navori Labs came onto Walmart de Mexico y Centroamerica’s radar earlier this year when business leaders expressed an interest in developing a digital signage strategy that would also support programmatic DOOH advertising, ad campaign management, and proof of playback reporting. Navori’s Aquaji solution provides shopper demographics and foot traffic data directly within QL’s CMS, alongside proof of play data for ads.

Project Details

The data collected is extremely useful for Walmart de Mexico y Centroamerica and its ad partners. They get detailed insights from Aquaji cameras, helping them adjust their ads based on what customers do in stores. Right now, there’s a camera at each store’s entrance that can move to follow customers without identifying them. There’s also a “Totem” next to the camera. It has a big, upright screen that shows ads, running on Navori software.

Walmart Connect plans to put in more Navori-powered screens and Aquaji cameras. This includes adding them to existing digital signs in stores.

Jonatan Fasano, Head of Product at Walmart Connect Mexico y Centroamerica, said, “The Totem’s camera gives us precious info. It shows us how our customers shop. This lets us create targeted strategies that match our advertisers’ goals.”

They’re looking to add more screens and cameras and bring in new Navori features. These include tools for managing ad campaigns, scheduling content smarter, and automating how content plays based on certain conditions. These updates will let store operators handle content more automatically, cutting down on manual work.

This setup also helps advertisers outside the store get better at reaching their audience. They can choose the best times to advertise to the people they want to reach. Jerome Moeri, CEO of Navori Labs, said this was a big reason for starting Aquaji.
